FEEDBACK

REFLECTIOINS

During the process of learning font design, I gradually developed a deeper understanding of typography. In the past, I only saw fonts as tools for delivering written information, but through systematic learning, I realized that fonts are also an important design language that can express emotion, style, and personality. During the study, I learned about basic font structures, stroke features, and the visual effects created by different font styles, and I also tried some simple font design exercises. This made me realize that font design requires not only creativity but also patience and strong attention to detail. Of course, I also faced some difficulties in practice, such as maintaining consistency in the overall design, but through repeated revisions and learning from good examples, I gradually found ways to improve. Overall, learning font design has been very meaningful, as it improved my aesthetic sense and helped me better understand the relationship between text and design, which will be useful for my future studies and creative work.

Futher Reading

Typographic Design: Form and Communication* is a professional book that connects typography with visual communication. It explains not only how type looks, but also how it communicates meaning. This helped me understand that the main purpose of typography is communication, not decoration.

The book uses many case studies to show how type works with images, layout, and content. The chapters about grid systems and visual hierarchy were especially helpful in explaining how to organize complex information clearly.

Although this book is more challenging, it is very valuable. It encouraged me to think more professionally and logically about design and typography.
