Self-titled is an exploration project for the students to express their own individuality and reflect their personality into digital art self-expression. The main idea is to build up self-confidence and discover their interest.

In this project, we need design a poster and animated it in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After effect. This project must be fully digitized. Therefore, we need to use our knowledge to apply the skills in this two applications.

Before starting to design, we need to write a biography about myself and statement about my work




After that, I found some references from pinterest before starting to sketch out my ideas. This can act as my moodboard and inspirations for this work.



After that, I started to sketch out my idea. I decided to draw different photos but with the same elements. 




In the following few weeks, I completed my draft. And decided to digitize it. I searched for a lot of materials to make...

I isolated the characters and created a profound background to express my ideas.

Title: Keep moving forward, even when the path is unclear.


Reflection
I would like to create a surreal-style artwork that shows my inner thoughts and feelings. This work is inspired by my personal experience as an international student. Through this artwork, I want to express confusion, pressure, and the feeling of searching for direction in my life.



Reflection
The concept behind this artwork is the feeling of being lost and overwhelmed. The distorted space and long corridor represent my mental state when facing studies and life abroad. The figure standing in the space shows myself, feeling small and unsure, while the light in front represents hope and the future that I am slowly moving towards.

The message I want people to understand is that feeling confused or lost is a normal part of growing up. Even when the path looks unclear, we should continue moving forward. Everyone has their own pace, and it is okay to take time to find direction and meaning in life.

The 3D typography blends perfectly with Picasso’s works, making the viewer feel immersed in the exhibition. The design connects form and content in a clever way. The second one, “Paint your own journey,” uses a minimalist style with a striking contrast between black-and-white and bright yellow.
